                   NONCONVENTIONAL MEDICINE IS ACCEPTABLE?
For years you have heard about nonconventional medicines. And you have put them into practice. You have heard something and practiced it or you have gone to doctor whenever you get sick. Once you get sick you hear many recommends from people around you. They give advice to you and they expect you to practice it. Everyone thinks their treatments are the best. Have you thought how much you have done the right or what beneficial they have?
Let me give you two examples. I read two stories days ago. On the first one there was a girl who saw diabetic. Her parents were Christian Scientist. They didn’t take their daughter to a doctor and waited … They had prayed for days and done nothing to that little girl. As you can guess the girl died. Now … Who is responsible for this tragic story? Believing non-conventional, spiritual things and thoughts caused a little girl’s death. In the other story the guy had been diagnosed with a disease that would cause his death according to the doctors. But the guy didn’t give up. He used medicines. Additional to those medicines he treated himself only by laughing. Finally he got over his disease and backed to normal. If that Christian Scientist parents had taken their daughter to a doctor and then prayed probably that girl would have lived much longer. If that guy had given up and done nothing for himself he would have died earlier. Because feeling happy and using medicines both help us to get over our disease.
I’ll tell you about another nonconventional treatment .There is a Chinese non-conventional treatment called acupuncture. Many of you must have heard about it. That treatment treats many diseases so many people rely on that. The people who is happy with that treatment think probably ‘’nonconventional treatments are so good for our health’’. But that treatment can’t find a cure for cancer or diabetes. Such things should be cured with the help of medicines. But you shouldn’t use herbal medicine, for instance while taking chemotherapy drugs, because they may react in the opposite way and you may get worse. Treatments like acupuncture may be used to treat less dangerous diseases and for the disease which the treatments affect.
You should care the disease you have. If you have cold which lasts for many days, you have to see a doctor. Many diseases have symptoms that we can’t guess. Seeing a doctor gives us an idea about our disease. We take our medicines and then if it doesn’t affect our health we use nonconventional medicines. While trying to get over the disease we should use a nonconventional medicine called ‘’feeling happy’’. As long as we don’t feel desperate we’ll get over it less painful.
I firmly believe that nonconventional medicines are not always approval or useful. We can’t be healthy and get over all the disease just using that medicine. We should rely on modern medicine and not abandon ourselves to despair. If it’s necessary for you to use nonconventional medicine, go for it. But don’t forget to take your ‘real’ medicine.
